Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Vehicle AC Technician based in the Greater Vadodara Area. The Vehicle AC Technician will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain air conditioning systems in a range of vehicles within the Shah Travels fleet. Daily tasks include checking AC performance, identifying faults in compressors, condensers, evaporators, electrical components, and refrigerant lines, and performing gas charging, leak detection, and part replacements.

The role involves using appropriate tools and safety procedures, maintaining service records, and coordinating with drivers and operations staff to schedule maintenance and minimize vehicle downtime.



The technician will also support preventive maintenance, ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, and assist with occasional emergency repairs when needed.

Qualifications

- Practical experience in vehicle AC diagnosis, repair, gas charging, and preventive maintenance for cars, buses, or other commercial vehicles.
- Ability to use automotive tools and AC service equipment (manifold gauges, vacuum pumps, leak detectors, electrical testing tools) safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of basic automotive electrical systems related to AC, including wiring, fuses, relays, and compressor controls.
- Understanding of refrigerants, environmental and safety practices, and proper handling and disposal procedures.
- Robust problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow technical instructions and service manuals.
- Ability to work on-site, manage time efficiently, and coordinate with drivers, supervisors, and other team members.
- Prior experience as a vehicle AC technician or automotive technician; vocational training or certification in automotive or HVAC is an advantage.
- Willingness to work flexible hours when required and maintain accurate service and maintenance documentation.
