Eligibility/Qualification– Professor (Control System) Age Not exceeding 50 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regular appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five Years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. For age concession applicable to some other categories of applications, please see relevant paras of the ‘Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection.’ Essential Qualification (s) A. Educational

(i) A PhD Degree with First Class at Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Control System Engineering/ Embedded System Engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering/ Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering/ Controls & Instrumentation Engineering/ Electrical Engineering and experience of ten years of teaching, research and/or industry, out of which at least five years at the level of Assistant Professor/ Reader or equivalent grade.

OR

(ii) In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential-

- First Class Master’s degree in Control System Engineering/ Embedded System Engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering/ Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering/ Controls & Instrumentation Engineering/ Electrical Engineering.
- Significant professional work which can be recognized as equivalent to a PhD Degree in Control System Engineering/ Embedded System Engineering/Instrumentation Engineering/ Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering/ Controls & Instrumentation Engineering/ Electrical Engineering and Industrial/ professional experience of ten years out of which at least five years at a senior level of Assistant Professor/ Reader.

Provided that the recognition for significant professional experience shall be valid only if the same is recommended unanimously by a three Member Committee of Experts appointed by the Competent Authority.
- Experience

Ten years in teaching, research and/or industry, out of which at least 05 years at the level of Assistant Professor/Reader or equivalent grade. Note 1 Qualification are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. Desirable Qualification (s) (i) Teaching, Research, industrial and /or professional experience in a reputed organization.

(ii) Published work, such as research papers, patents filed/obtained books and/or technical reports.

(iii) Experience of guiding the project work/dissertation of PG/research students or supervising Research & Development projects in industry.

(iv) Demonstrated leadership in planning and organizing academic, research, industrial and/ or professional activities and

- Capacity to undertake/lead sponsored Research & Development consultancy and related activities.

Associate Professor (Computer Science) Age Not exceeding 40 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regular appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five Years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. For age concession applicable to some other categories of applications, please see relevant paras of the ‘Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection.’ Essential Qualification (s) A. Educational

- A Ph.D Degree with First class at Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science and experience of eight years in teaching, research and/or industry at the level of Lecturer or equivalent grade, excluding period spent on obtaining the research degree.

OR In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential-
- First class Master’s Degree in Computer Science.
- Significant professional work which can be recognized as equivalent to a Ph.D Degree in Computer Science and Industrial/ qualified experience of eight years in a position equivalent to the level of Lecturer.

Provided that the recognition for significant professional experience shall be valid only if the same is recommended unanimously by a three Member Committee of Experts appointed by the Competent Authority.
- Experience

Eight years in teaching, research and/or industry, at the level of Lecturer or equivalent grade excluding period spent on obtaining the research degree. Note 1 Qualification are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. Desirable Qualification (s) (i) Teaching, Research, industrial and /or professional experience in a reputed organization.

(ii) Published work, such as research papers, patents filed/obtained books and/or technical reports.

(iii) Experience of guiding the project work/dissertation of PG/research students or supervising Research & Development projects in industry.

Associate Professor (Electrical Engineering) Age Not exceeding 40 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regular appointed Central/U.T.

Government

Servant upto Five Years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Educational

- A Ph.D Degree with First class at Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and experience of eight years in teaching, research and/or industry at level of Lecturer or equivalent grade, excluding period spent on obtaining the research degree.

OR (ii) In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential-
- First class Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Significant skilled work which can be recognized as equivalent to a Ph.D Degree in Electrical Engineering and Industrial/ professional experience of eight years in a position equivalent to the level of Lecturer.

Provided that the recognition for significant professional experience shall be valid only if the same is recommended unanimously by a three Member Committee of Experts appointed by the Competent Authority.
- Experience

Eight years in teaching, research and/or industry, at the level of Lecturer or equivalent grade excluding period spent on obtaining research degree. Note 1 Qualification are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing,



in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. Desirable Qualification (s) (i) Teaching, Research, industrial and /or professional experience in a reputed organization.

Associate Professor (Electronics & Communication Engineering) Age Not exceeding 43 years for Other Backward Class candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regular appointed Central/U.T.

Government

Servant upto Five Years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Servant upto Five Years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. - A Ph.D Degree with First class at Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and experience of eight years in teaching, research and/or industry at the level of Lecturer or equivalent grade, excluding period spent on obtaining the research degree.

OR (ii) In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential-
- First class Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Significant professional work which can be recognized as equivalent to a Ph.D Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial/ professional experience of eight years in a position equivalent to the level of Lecturer.

Provided that the recognition for significant professional experience shall be valid only if the same is recommended unanimously by a three Member Committee of Experts appointed by the Competent Authority.
- Experience

Eight years in teaching, research and/or industry, at the level of Lecturer or equivalent grade excluding period spent on obtaining research degree. Note 1 Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

Note 2 The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing. In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, if at any stage of selection that Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them.
