Job Summary
We are looking for a creative, experienced, and passionate UI/UX Design Mentor to deliver practical, industry-oriented online training to students. The mentor will be responsible for teaching UI/UX design concepts, providing hands-on guidance using industry-relevant design tools, mentoring students through real-world projects, and helping them build strong design portfolios for internships and entry-level opportunities.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience in User Interface Design, User Experience Design, User Research, Wireframing, Prototyping, and Design Systems , along with the ability to explain design concepts clearly and mentor students effectively.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and structured live online sessions on UI/UX Design.
- Cover the complete curriculum within the scheduled course duration and allotted sessions.
- Teach UI/UX concepts through practical activities, case studies, real-world examples, and design challenges.
- Provide hands-on training using industry-relevant tools such as Figma , FigJam, Adobe XD, or equivalent tools.
- Teach students the complete UI/UX design process, from understanding user requirements to creating high-fidelity prototypes.
- Guide students in conducting user research and identifying user needs and pain points.
- Teach user personas, user journeys, information architecture, and user flows.
- Train students in wireframing, visual design, prototyping, usability testing, and design iteration.
- Explain core design principles, including typography, color theory, layout, visual hierarchy, spacing, accessibility, and responsive design.
- Introduce students to design systems, reusable components, styles, and UI consistency.
- Assign practical design exercises, case studies, and assessments.
- Assign one Minor Project and one Major Project based on real-world product or business use cases.
- Guide students through the complete project lifecycle, including research, ideation, wireframing, UI design, prototyping, testing, iteration,
and final presentation.
- Review student assignments and design work and provide constructive feedback.
- Conduct doubt-clearing sessions and provide design guidance where required.
- Help students create skilled UI/UX case studies and build a strong design portfolio.
- Guide students in presenting projects effectively through Figma, Behance, Dribbble, or other relevant portfolio platforms.
- Conduct placement-oriented sessions, including portfolio reviews, design interview preparation, and mock interviews.
- Guide students in preparing professional resumes and optimizing their LinkedIn profiles.
- Suggest relevant UI/UX and product design keywords to improve profile visibility and job shortlisting opportunities.
- Coordinate with the operations team regarding class schedules, attendance, student progress, assignments, and course completion.
- Ensure professional conduct during all classes and student interactions.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Prior experience as a UI/UX Designer, Product Designer, UX Researcher, Design Mentor, Technical Trainer, or Faculty Member.
- Experience in designing web applications, mobile applications, or digital products.
- Previous online teaching or student mentoring experience is preferred.
