Role Description

We are seeking an experienced UiPath Automation Architect (8–12 years) to design, develop, and support automation solutions for Microsoft Messaging and Collaboration services. The role will focus on automating mailbox provisioning, distribution list management, room mailbox lifecycle management, governance workflows, approvals, reporting, and operational processes across Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 environments.

The candidate will work closely with Messaging, Identity, Infrastructure, and Service Management teams to drive operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance user experience through intelligent automation solutions using UiPath and associated technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop UiPath automation solutions for Messaging operations within Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online.
- Automate provisioning and lifecycle management of: • User Mailboxes • Shared Mailboxes • Distribution Lists (DLs) • Agile Distribution Lists • Room and Equipment Mailboxes • Microsoft 365 Groups
- Develop automation workflows for: • Creation, modification, and decommissioning requests. • Membership management and synchronization. • Approval processes and notifications. • Compliance and governance checks. • Reporting and audit activities.
- Integrate UiPath solutions with: • Exchange Online • Microsoft Graph API • Active Directory / Entra ID • ServiceNow • PowerShell • SQL Databases
- Develop reusable automation frameworks and components for messaging operations.
- Implement exception handling, logging, monitoring, and reporting capabilities.




- Collaborate with Messaging Engineering teams to: • Optimize operational workflows. • Identify automation opportunities. • Improve service delivery and user experience.
- Support migration and transformation initiatives involving: • Exchange Online • Mailbox lifecycle automation • Distribution List modernization • Room mailbox governance • Microsoft 365 platform enhancements
- Establish automation governance standards, coding guidelines, and deployment processes.
- Provide technical leadership, documentation, and mentoring to automation developers.

Required Skills

- 10+ years of IT experience with 7+ years in UiPath development and architecture.
- Strong expertise in: • UiPath Studio • UiPath Orchestrator • REFramework • Attended and Unattended Bot Development
- Hands-on experience with: • Exchange Online • Microsoft 365 Administration • Microsoft Graph API • Active Directory / Entra ID
- Strong PowerShell scripting knowledge for messaging administration and automation.
- Experience integrating UiPath with: • REST APIs • ServiceNow • SQL Server • SharePoint Online
- Understanding of mailbox provisioning, distribution list management, and room mailbox administration.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 governance, compliance,



and security controls.
- Experience in automation monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Typical Day in the Role

- Review ServiceNow automation tickets, catalog variables and exception patterns.
- Design, build and support UiPath REFramework workflows using Orchestrator queues, assets, credentials and dispatcher/performer patterns.
- Integrate UiPath with ServiceNow REST APIs / HTTP requests to retrieve and update SC tasks, work notes, assignment groups and closure status.
- Invoke and validate PowerShell scripts for Exchange Online, Exchange on-premises and AD operations; pass parameters from UiPath queues and consume script outputs.
- Implement validation, retry logic, error handling, manual queue routing and user/operations notifications.
- Collaborate with Messaging Operations, ServiceNow, UiPath Sustain, HCL, Enterprise Architecture and internal GWS stakeholders.

This role provides hands-on ownership of enterprise-scale Messaging automation used to reduce manual operational load and improve user experience across mailbox, DL and room provisioning processes. The candidate will gain exposure to Company's global Messaging environment, UiPath Orchestrator, ServiceNow integrations, Exchange Online/on-premises workflows, PowerShell automation, production release readiness and sustainment handover. It is a practical architecture-and-delivery role with direct impact on operational efficiency, standardization and automation maturity.
