Job Title: UAV Testing & Verification Engineer

Location: Thanjavur

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on UAV Testing & Verification Engineer to validate and optimise drone subsystems, airframe from prototype to production. The role involves testing propulsion, electrical, avionics, structural, and integrated systems to ensure performance, reliability, and flight readiness.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct engine, motor, ESC, and propulsion system testing.
- Perform propeller selection, thrust, efficiency, and endurance testing.
- Plan and execute wind tunnel and aerodynamic validation tests.
- Test electrical, electronic, power distribution, and battery systems.
- Validate avionics, sensors (GPS, IMU, compass, etc.), and communication systems.
- Perform structural, vibration, environmental, and reliability testing.
- Support subsystem integration and pre-/post-flight testing.
- Analyse test data, troubleshoot failures, and recommend design improvements.
- Develop test procedures, maintain documentation, and prepare test reports.




- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, and flight control teams.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in UAV, aerospace, automotive, or robotics testing (fresh graduates with strong project experience may also be considered).
- Knowledge of UAV propulsion, avionics, electrical systems, and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, DAQ systems, and telemetry tools.
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, LabVIEW, PX4/ArduPilot, or similar tools is an advantage.
- Robust analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with UAV flight testing and system integration.
- Understanding of environmental, vibration, and qualification testing.
- Knowledge of UAV certification or aviation standards is a plus.
