As a Training Instructional Systems Designer for the Environmental, Health, & Safety organization, this role partners across the ganization to design high-quality, engaging learning solutions, enable and deliver training at scale through enterprise learning platforms, and uses data and analytics to improve outcomes, monitor execution, and evaluate effectiveness. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in learning design and confidence in learning technologies and analytics. Here, you will make an impact by:

- Partner with global sites and business units to improve learning experiences, increase learner engagement, close performance gaps, and achieve defined learning objectives.

- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to analyze training needs and support the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training solutions using instructional systems design principles.

- Develop, revise, and maintain engaging training content and materials grounded in adult learning theory, instructional design methodology, and knowledge retention best practices.

- Recommend appropriate instructional approaches and delivery methods based on audience needs, business requirements, and desired performance outcomes.

- Provide coaching and guidance to subject matter experts on adult learning principles, instructional design practices, and effective content delivery.

- Provide occasional backup support for EHS/PS learning content administration in 3M Learn or related learning systems, as needed.

Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

- Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution.

- 5+ years of experience as an Instructional Designer,



Learning Technologist, or in a similar role with hands-on responsibility across design, delivery, and reporting.

- Demonstrated experience in instructional systems design, adult learning theory, learner engagement, and knowledge retention strategies.

Experience and Tools

- Experience with learning content development tools such as Articulate 360, Dozuki, Vyond, Camtasia, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative tools, or simulation-based learning platforms.

- Proven experience publishing and managing content in enterprise LMS platforms, such as Cornerstone Galaxy and/or SumTotal, along with hands-on experience with WalkMe or similar Digital Adoption Platform tools, including content creation and deployment, and experience supporting training operations, booking sessions, and tracking learner participation.

- Experience with learning asset graphic design, including overall visualization of training content, branding alignment, developing new graphics, and repurposing from existing content.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

- Experience consulting with or coaching subject matter experts on instructional design concepts and presentation effectiveness.

- Solid project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and work effectively across cross-functional teams.

- Ability to build effective working relationships with learning professionals, business stakeholders, and technical experts.
