SDET Engineer (Observability)

Location: Indore CITP, Bangalore

Employment Type: Full Time - Hybrid (3 days WFO)

Roles & Responsibilities

- Build, maintain, and improve test infrastructure and automated test workflows.
- Develop automation and tooling to improve test execution, coverage, stability, and debuggability.
- Generate and maintain performance reports for observability test runs and benchmarks.
- Build and enhance Grafana dashboards for metrics visualization, test health, and performance trend analysis.
- Integrate and optimize test workflows in Jenkins and CI pipelines.
- Investigate test failures, infrastructure issues, regressions, and flaky behavior; identify root causes and drive issues to resolution.
- Partner with developers and test engineers to improve tooling, reporting, and automation across the test lifecycle.
- Analyze failure patterns and performance trends to identify reliability improvements.
- Contribute to internal frameworks, scripts,



and tools using Python.
- Establish best practices for test observability, reporting, and infrastructure reliability.

Required Skills

- 5–10 years of experience in Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or Test Automation.
- Solid Python scripting experience.
- Experience with Jenkins and CI pipeline integration.
- Familiarity with schema-driven development.
- Understanding of observability concepts, including metrics and telemetry pipelines.
- Experience building and maintaining automated test infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Grafana dashboards and metrics visualization.
- Strong debugging, root cause analysis, and test failure investigation skills.
- Experience improving test automation, coverage, stability, and performance.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
