Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join our team, focusing on providing top-notch technical support for our customers using Ribbon’s networking solution/products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting products from leading network vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Fortinet, etc.) and a solid understanding of associated technologies and protocols, excellent problem-solving skills, and exceptional customer service abilities.

Qualification

1. BE/B Tech in Electronics or Electronic and Telecommunications

2. Possesses 2 to 6 years of experience in providing technical support with direct interactions with customers, troubleshooting, and deploying solutions within IP-MPLS networks of any scale.

3. Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS-SP, or equivalent.

4. Hands‑on experience in commissioning and performing deep diagnostics on products from renowned network vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.).

Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, SNMP tools).

6. Good to have knowledge on OS Red HAT Linux, Solaris, vSphere-VMware. Basic knowledge of Docker Containers, Kubernetes and SDN Controllers

7. Experience of working with ticketing systems (e.g. Salesforce, Oracle, JIRA).

8. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

1. Routing Protocols - OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MP-BGP

2. Labelling Protocols – LDP, SR, RSVP, BGP-LU

3. Traffic Engineering

4. VPN(MPLS-TP/IP) Technologies – L2VPN, L3VPN, E-VPN, L2VPN and L3VPN Interworking

5. L2/Switching knowledge, Subnetting, VLANs, xSTP, VRRP

6. Protection and Restoration Mechanism – FRR, Linear Protection, PW-R, LAG/MC-LAG

7. Timing Synchronization Features such as IEEE 1588v2 PTP, SyncE
