About the Role We are seeking an experienced Backend Team Lead with strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, and Django to lead our backend engineering team. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can architect scalable systems, mentor developers, manage project execution, and drive engineering best practices.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership skills and a passion for building high-performance applications. Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of backend developers.

Design, architect, and implement scalable backend applications and microservices.

Develop clean, maintainable, and high-performance solutions using Python, FastAPI, and Django.

Conduct code reviews and enforce development best practices and coding standards.

Collaborate with Product, UI/UX, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software.

Manage sprint planning, task allocation, and project delivery timelines.

Monitor system performance, security, and scalability.

Drive technical innovation and recommend improvements to existing architecture.





Create and maintain technical documentation and development processes.

Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of hands-on Python development experience

Minimum 2 years of experience leading or managing a software development team.

Strong expertise in Python frameworks such as FastAPI and Django.

Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

Robust database knowledge including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Hands-on experience with Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Skills

Experience with React.js, Next.js, or Angular.

Exposure to AI/ML technologies and frameworks.

Knowledge of data engineering tools such as Airflow and Apache Spark.

Experience building and scaling high-traffic applications.

Familiarity with event-driven architecture and message queues such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
