Shivaji University, Kolhapur invites application for Teaching Posts at Shivaji University from eligible and interested candidates

About- In 1962 the University started functioning with 34 affiliated colleges and about 14000 students with 5 Post-graduate Departments on the campus. Today the number of affiliated colleges has gone upto 280 and students strength upto 3,00,000 with 34 Postgraduate Departments on campus. The University imparts education in 10 major faculties of Arts, Social Science, Science, Commerce, Education, Fine Arts, Law, Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine, Engineering and Technology.

Location- Shivaji University, Kolhapur

Eligibility- Qualifications for the following posts of Professor and Associate Professor is as per Government of Maharashtra, Government Resolution dtd. 11/09/2019, AICTE Notification 01/03/2019 and AICTE Letter 08/03/2019.

Post- Professor (Post Code No-20/22-01 to 20/22-03)

- Ph. D. degree in relevant field and First class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant branch.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching / research / industry out of which at least 3 years shall be at a post equivalent to that of an Associate Professor.
- At least 6 research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals and at least 2 successful Ph.D. guided as Supervisor / Cosupervisor till the date of eligibility of promotion.

OR At least 10 research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI journals / UGC /AICTE approved list of journals till the date of eligibility of promotion.



Post- Associate Professor (Post Code No-20/22-04 to 20/22-08)
- Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and First class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant branch
- At least total 6 research publications in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in teaching / research / industry out of which at least 2 years shall be Post Ph.D.

Job/Position Description- Applications are invited in the prescribed form available online on Shivaji University website www.unishivaji.ac.in (URL www.unishivaji. ac.in/recruitments) for the following Temporary Teaching Posts for the tenure of five years to be filled in the Department of Technology conducted from University fund (on Self supporting basis) as per provisions of Section 103 of Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016. The Post mentioned above is created from University Fund and is not covered under salary grants-in-aid scheme of Government of Maharashtra.

The tenure of the said posts only of five years.

Pay Scales

- Professor- Rs. 1,25,000/- per month consolidated.
- Associate Professor – Rs. 1,00,000/- per month consolidated.

How To Apply- WThe prescribed online application form is available on the university website www.unishivaji.ac.in under the tab “ Recruitment at University ” which is to be filled online and its printed on A4 size paper, in 06 copies along with necessary attested documents and Receipt of Online Payment of Rs. 500/- should accompany to each copy of the application form. Application form other than online form and forms without Cash Receipt of Online payment will not be considered for further process of recruitment. Final print-out of application form in 6 copies along with the attested copies of relevant documents enclosed to each copy of the application should be addressed to the Registrar, Shivaji University, Vidyanagar,



Kolhapur – 416 004 so as to reach this office on or before 09/03/2022 (till 6.00 p.m.) Envelope containing duly filled application form shall be superscripted with “ Name of the Post applied: —— and Post No. ——- .”
