We are seeking an experienced and qualified Tabla Teacher to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and develop structured age-appropriate music lessons to build rhythm, technique and musical understanding - Teach the fundamentals of Indian rhythm, including taal, laya and bols in a clear and practical manner
- Prepare students for stage performances, annual function, inter-school music competitions and choir accompaniments - Assess student progress regularly and offer constructive feedback to improve techniques
- Work closely with Music,
Theatre and Arts department on collaborative projects and performances
- Maintain and manage Tabla instruments and related equipment
- Demonstrate professionalism through reliability, punctuality and a commitment to creating a positive, inclusive and respectful learning environment Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music (specifically in Tabla) from a recognised University
- Strong foundation in Tabla performance and pedagogy
- 2-5 years of relevant teaching or professional performance experience
- Experience teaching Tabla or Indian classical percussion in a school, music academy or private setting is preferred.
