Purpose of the role :

- As a Lead Engineer for Frame, you will be responsible for leading the development and optimization of Frame for a segment of our products (2W), ensuring they meet performance, durability, weight and cost targets. You will work, under the guidance of Chief Engineer Frame, cross-functionally with design, engineering, testing, and manufacturing teams to develop innovative solutions that enhance the structural integrity and overall riding experience.

Required Experience

Required Experience: 12-14 years in Automotive RD field.

Experience in Chassis System Engineering, with a minimum of 8 years in Frame and Structural Component Design development.

Role Description

- Lead the design and development of Frame Architechture and Structures for a segment of product lines delivering Current Products, adressing problems in current products and working on future technologies.

- Define technical requirements and ensure designs meet performance, durability, weight and cost targets. Co-ordinate effectively to deploy mutually agreed QCD requirements on Frames, steer alignments and discussions within and between CoCs, Quality, Purchasing, Service, Production and Aftersales.

- Review Simulation test procedures and results (FEA,Durability, Dynamics, Package, etc.) and oversee the validation process.

- Participate in Design reviews, update design guidelines, SoPs, DFMEA related to Frame.





- Mentor the new engineers in Frame design and development team for their carreer goals and objectives

- Lead Problem solving initiatives Value Engineering initiatives on Frame and structural Components across product life cycles.

- Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and drive technical decisions in quick time.

- Develop standardised solutions across platform minimising variety in Frames working with Chief Engineer of Frames

- Ensure compliance with global safety and regulatory standards.
