Role Summary
A reputed manufacturing organization is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability Executive to support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and documentation of sustainability, environmental, social, and governance (ESG), employee engagement, employee welfare, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent coordination skills and a strong understanding of sustainability principles, environmental practices, employee well-being programmes, and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
The selected candidate will collaborate with internal departments, external agencies, vendors, NGOs, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Sustainability and ESG Activities
- Coordinate sustainability and ESG initiatives across different departments.
- Collect, monitor, and maintain data related to energy consumption, water management, waste management, emissions, workplace safety, employee welfare, and CSR activities.
- Monitor sustainability goals, action plans, implementation timelines, and progress reports.
- Support the preparation of sustainability reports, dashboards, presentations, and ESG disclosures.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for sustainability improvement initiatives.
Employee Engagement and Welfare Activities
- Organize employee well-being programmes, health camps, awareness sessions, and employee engagement activities.
- Coordinate cultural programmes, competitions, celebrations, and workplace initiatives.
- Maintain records of participation, attendance, and programme outcomes.
CSR Initiatives
- Coordinate CSR programmes in collaboration with NGOs, schools, community groups, and external agencies.
- Maintain records related to beneficiaries, volunteer participation, activity reports, photographs, invoices, and supporting documents.
- Document the outcomes and impact of CSR activities.
Compliance and Reporting
- Assist during sustainability audits, customer assessments, certification processes, and compliance reviews.
- Monitor audit observations and coordinate corrective action plans with various departments.
- Prepare presentations, awareness materials, reports, posters, and internal communications related to sustainability initiatives.
- Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and external stakeholders regarding sustainability-related projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability Management, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
- 0–2 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, CSR, employee engagement, environmental management, or a related role.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
- Strong data collection, analysis, documentation, and reporting abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Sound understanding of sustainability, ESG, CSR, and employee welfare practices.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
