Job Title Support - SMS - QC - Steel The Visual Inspection Senior Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of steel round bright bars through visual inspection and quality control activities. The role focuses on identifying surface defects, verifying compliance with customer specifications and applicable standards, leading inspection teams, investigating quality issues, and driving continuous improvement to achieve high product quality and customer satisfaction Principal Accountabilities





Lead the visual inspection of steel round bars during production and final inspection stages ensuring meticulous attention to detailbr Inspect products thoroughly for surface defects such as cracks seams laps scabs pits scratches folds scale and rustbr Verify product compliance with customer specifications and applicable standards including ASTM EN DIN IS or customerspecific requirementsbr Review and validate inspection reports test certificates and quality documentation to ensure accuracy and completenessbr Develop implement and continuously improve visual inspection procedures and work instructions to enhance quality control processesbr Perform thorough root cause analysis of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions CAPA to address them effectivelybr Coordinate with steelmaking rolling mill heat treatment finishing and dispatch teams to resolve quality concerns promptlybr Train and mentor visual inspectors on defect identification inspection techniques and adherence to quality standardsbr Monitor inspection performance using quality metrics and prepare detailed daily weekly and monthly quality reportsbr Support customer complaints resolution internal and external audits and quality improvement initiatives to uphold quality standardsbr Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 IATF 16949 if applicable and company quality management systems while promoting workplace safety and adherence to environmental and quality policies Key Interactions Auditors,Customers,Internal Communication ,Quality Assurance Experience 4 Competency Name Competency Name Proficiency Level QualityExpert Quality & Production ManagementExpert Quality DocumentationExpert Quality TestingExpert Business & Commercial acumenExpert EntrepreneurshipExpert Global Mind-setExpert People ExcellenceExpert Additional Section (Can Be Added, If Required.
