Overview

This role will initially focus on managing logistics for a specialty chemical product line involving bulk liquid distribution to multiple manufacturing locations, with scope to expand across other product categories over time. This role involves coordinating with vendors, transporters, and internal teams to streamline supply chain processes, maintain compliance, and optimize efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Operations Management
- Oversee daily logistics operations including inbound and outbound shipments.
- Track container/tank turnaround times and ensure timely evacuation to avoid demurrage/detention charges
- Monitor raw material inventory positions against upcoming dispatch commitments
- Vendor & Transport Coordination
- Liaise with transporters, freight forwarders, and courier partners.
- Track shipments and resolve transit-related issues.
- Coordinate with receiving teams at multiple customer locations to align on delivery windows and unloading schedules
- Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, invoices, and customs paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations.




- Maintain accurate records of logistics activities.
- Process Improvement
- Own and maintain a dedicated MIS tracker for the assigned product line (POs, shipments, invoices, inventory, demurrage/detention accruals)
- Proactively flag cost trends and inventory-holding risks to the account management team
- Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions for smoother operations.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations.
- Strong knowledge of transportation, distribution, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and logistics software.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
