Role Description This is a full-time, in office Structural Design Engineer role based in Chennai.

The Structural Design

Engineer will be responsible for performing structural analysis and design for buildings and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include preparing design calculations, generating and reviewing detailed drawings, and coordinating with architects, MEP engineers, and project managers to integrate structural solutions into overall project designs. The engineer will work extensively with CAD tools to develop and revise structural plans, details, and models,



while supporting digital transformation workflows such as BIM-based coordination where applicable. Additional responsibilities include participating in design reviews, assisting with technical documentation and reports, and providing engineering support during construction and review stages.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in structural analysis, design, and detailing of high-rise buildings (20+ storeys).
- Proven experience in infrastructure projects, with preference for large-scale developments.
- Mandatory proficiency in ETABS for structural analysis and design and AutoCAD for preparation of structural drawings and detailing.
- Strong experience in the design of RCC and steel structures, including foundations, columns, beams, slabs, shear walls (RC wall systems), and steel members.
- Demonstrated experience working on RC wall/shear wall structural systems for high-rise buildings.
- Ability to independently interpret architectural and structural drawings, design codes, specifications, and engineering standards.
- Experience in preparing structural calculations, design reports, detailed construction drawings, reinforcement details, and BOQs.
- Exposure to international design codes (ACI, Eurocode, BS, AS, etc.) and multidisciplinary project environments will be an added advantage.
- Ability to independently coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, and project stakeholders throughout the design and detailing process.
