About The Role The Strategy Analyst role at Tech Data is a pivotal position designed for a curious, analytically rigorous professional who thrives on solving complex business challenges and driving organizational initiatives. Anchored in the company’s people strategy, this role encompasses a broad scope, including operational excellence, enterprise-wide transformation, and strategic problem-solving.
Serving as both a strategic thought partner and a "Chief of Staff" for the organization, the ideal candidate will translate ambiguous challenges into structured, actionable strategies, manage multiple portfolios, and orchestrate organizational cadence to ensure alignment and progress. This high-visibility role requires a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work across functions to influence decision-making and foster organizational growth.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree, with an advanced degree such as an MBA preferred. Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, operational excellence, or a highly analytical business role.
Exposure to enterprise transformation projects or people-focused initiatives is advantageous. Robust analytical skills are essential, with proficiency in Excel and data structuring,
and the ability to work with ambiguous or incomplete data sets. The candidate must demonstrate strategic thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to produce polished, executive-ready materials.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with high organizational acumen, are vital for success in this role. A proactive, self-starting approach and the ability to manage multiple workstreams with limited oversight are also required.
Responsibilities Strategic Ideation & Problem Solving: Act as a trusted thought partner to senior leadership by conceptualizing and designing innovative business and organizational strategies. Engage actively in problem framing, root cause analysis, and solution development, moving beyond reporting to participate in the whiteboarding and ideation phases.
Develop clear, compelling narratives and frameworks that communicate complex ideas effectively, supporting enterprise-level decision-making. Adapt rigor and creativity to both quick strategic pivots and multi-month transformation initiatives.
Chief of Staff Operations & Organizational Alignment: Serve as the central nervous system for the HR organization by monitoring the portfolio of initiatives, managing operational rhythms, and ensuring cross-functional alignment. Facilitate conversations across departments, manage dependencies, and keep leadership informed on organizational health and project timelines. Build and nurture strong relationships across the enterprise, earning trust as a reliable partner capable of advancing initiatives without formal authority.
Data Analytics & Insight Generation: Collect, synthesize,
and interpret qualitative and quantitative data to underpin strategic recommendations and operational efficiencies. Identify relevant data sources, formulate insightful questions, and connect data points to surface actionable insights. Shape findings into clear, digestible narratives that highlight the implications and drive impactful decisions for senior leaders.
