The Static Equipment Specialist is responsible for leading and executing mechanical design and technical activities related to static equipment in FEED, EPC/EPCM, and PMC projects. The role involves preparation of material requisitions, technical specifications, mechanical datasheets, vendor document reviews, and interfacing with multiple disciplines. The specialist ensures compliance with national and international codes and standards while mentoring a team of engineers and designers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead a team of engineers/designers and coordinate work across KBR centers and client interfaces.
- Execute FEED and EPC/EPCM activities including Material Requisition preparation, Technical Specification development, Mechanical Data Sheets, Supplier Offer Review, and Technical Bid Evaluation.
- Review vendor documents and provide support in procurement, fabrication, and inspection of static equipment.
- Estimate project hours, allocate resources, and ensure timely and budget-compliant task completion.
- Participate in the inspection of equipment at shop or field locations (as required).
- Ensure material selection per process requirements and compliance with national and international codes/standards.




- Perform mechanical design of pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, and other static equipment using software tools like PVElite, DISASU, COMPRESS, and AMETANK.
- Apply knowledge of NACE compliance, lethal service requirements, wind and seismic analysis, FEA, and European codes where applicable.
- Support re-rating, repair, and re-qualification of fabricated equipment.
- Maintain knowledge of NDT requirements, code stamping, and WPS/PQR standards.
- Foster a positive team setting and resolve conflicts effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Graduation in Mechanical or allied Engineering with 12–18 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 8 years in EPC projects; experience in fabrication industry or PMC projects is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with process equipment design, inspection, and field support.
- Expertise in software tools such as PVElite, DISASU, COMPRESS, AMETANK, ANSYS, Nozzle Pro.
- Strong knowledge of ASME, API, and European codes, as well as wind/seismic design standards.
- Good oral and written communication skills; team player with a positive attitude.
