- The Staff Accountant's responsibilities include but are not limited to:.
- Reading and comprehending contracts, then utilizing accounting knowledge to record the related transactions.
- Fully owning the general ledger accounts within his/her responsibility and ensuring compliance with US GAAP; calculating and explaining variance analysis.
- Assisting with ad-hoc accounting projects, driving change and implementing enhanced processes.
- Assisting with inventory costing and routings and responsibility for change analysis related to costing.
- Assisting with development and maintenance of standard costs.
- Assisting with inventory analysis and inventory reserves.
- Performing ad-hoc accounting research, making recommendations for proper accounting treatment and documenting transactions.

Required Skills/Abilities.
- Must be able to work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP.
- Process improvement mindset.
- Valuable organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Very detail oriented with strong teaming and interpersonal skills.
- Travel may be necessary 5-10% of the year.
Education And Experience.
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 5 years accounting or 3 years auditing experience.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.
- Strong PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and financial accounting systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics365 preferred.
