Engineer role based in Chennai, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home. The Sr.

Piping Design

Engineer will lead the design and layout of piping systems for Oil & Gas, energy, and process facilities, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing piping drawings and 3D models, performing stress analysis and flexibility checks, and coordinating with mechanical, structural, process, and instrumentation teams. The role involves guiding junior engineers and designers,



participating in design reviews and HAZOPs, and resolving technical issues during engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning. The engineer will also support client interface activities, contribute to design optimization for modular and offshore applications, and help maintain quality and safety standards across projects.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in Piping Design and Piping layout for oil & gas, energy, and process facilities.
- Hands-on experience with Stress Analysis of piping systems, including flexibility and support design.
- Solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering principles applied to piping and equipment integration.
- Knowledge of Petroleum industry standards, materials, and typical facility configurations.
- Proficiency with relevant design and analysis tools (e.g., 3D CAD platforms, piping stress software such as CAESAR II or equivalent).
- Experience with modular design, offshore or floating production facilities is highly beneficial.
- Ability to lead project tasks, mentor junior team members, and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Solid communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
