Role Description The Sr. P D Merchandiser role is a full time, on-site position based in Gurugram. This role involves managing product development from concept to final sample, including fabric and trim sourcing, coordinating with design teams, and ensuring alignment with buyer requirements.

The Sr. P D Merchandiser will oversee costing, timelines, and approvals, working closely with production, quality, and vendor teams to secure on-time, accurate sample deliveries. Daily responsibilities include tracking orders, preparing and updating merchandising reports, communicating with international buyers, and resolving any issues related to specifications, quality, or delivery schedules.

The role also includes monitoring market trends,



supporting sustainability initiatives, and contributing to continuous improvement in processes and product offerings.

Qualifications

Strong product development and merchandising skills, including 5-8 yrs of experience managing samples, costing, and buyer communications.

Solid knowledge of woven fabrics, trims, garment construction, and technical specifications relevant to fashion and apparel.

Proficiency in planning, coordination, and time management to handle multiple styles, orders, and deadlines.

Effective communication and negotiation skills for working with buyers, suppliers, and internal cross-functional teams.

Attention to detail and problem-solving ability for managing quality requirements, fit issues, and production challenges.

Experience in sustainable fashion or a demonstrated interest in responsible sourcing and ethical supply chains is an advantage.

Comfort with basic office software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, email) and merchandising-related documentation.

Relevant academic background in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Design, Apparel Production, or a related field, with prior experience in a similar role.
