About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Executive – Material Planning to manage material planning for all general inventory items and domestic procurement requirements. The role is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted material availability for production by planning demand, coordinating with procurement teams, monitoring inventory levels, and maintaining optimal stock while controlling inventory costs.

Job Responsibilities:

- Plan and monitor material requirements for all general inventory items across manufacturing operations.

- Generate material requirement plans (MRP) based on production schedules, forecasts, and consumption patterns.

- Coordinate with the Domestic Procurement team to ensure timely purchase of required materials.

- Track supplier lead times and proactively follow up to avoid production delays.

- Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock to prevent shortages and excess inventory.

- Review daily material availability against production plans and highlight any potential risks.

- Work closely with Production Planning, Procurement, Warehouse, Quality, and Stores teams for seamless material flow.

- Maintain accurate planning data, reorder levels, safety stock, and material master information in the ERP system.

- Analyze material consumption trends and recommend inventory optimization initiatives.

- Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory and recommend corrective actions.

- Support new product launches by ensuring timely planning and availability of required materials.

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on inventory status, shortages, purchase follow-ups, and planning performance.





- Ensure adherence to company inventory policies and planning processes.

- Supplier delivery performance

- Reduction in excess and obsolete inventory

- Planning accuracy

- Production schedule adherence due to material availability

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Commerce, or a related field.

- Diploma or certification in Supply Chain/Inventory Management will be preferred

- Experience working with domestic suppliers and procurement coordination.

Technical Skills

- Good understanding of Material Requirement Planning (MRP).

- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent).

- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Lookup functions, reporting).

- Knowledge of inventory management principles.

- Ability to analyze material consumption and demand trends.
