Post: Sr Chemist (Quality Control)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Chemist to lead laboratory quality systems, instrument management, analytical method validation & technical support for a Chlor-Alkali manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage GC, ICP-OES, TOC Analyzer, HACH, Flame Photometer, Orsat and other analytical instruments.
- Plan and coordinate instrument calibration, preventive maintenance and AMC activities.
- Perform method development, validation and troubleshooting.
- Handle special sample analysis, OOS investigations and technical problem-solving.
- Maintain IMS/QMS documentation, SOPs, calibration records and audit compliance.
- Support internal, customer and statutory audits.
- Investigate customer complaints and prepare technical reports.
- Train laboratory chemists on analytical techniques, GLP and laboratory safety.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance and QA teams to ensure product quality.

Requirements

- M.Sc. Chemistry




- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Chlor-Alkali/Chemical Industry QC Laboratory.
- Hands-on experience with GC, ICP-OES, TOC Analyzer and other analytical instruments.
- Knowledge of ISO/IMS documentation, GLP, calibration and method validation.
- Robust analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred: Experience in Chlor-Alkali, Chloromethane or Specialty Chemical industries.
