Role Overview The Special Educator Consultant will support program implementation, community mobilization, and center development. The role includes working directly with children with disabilities, conducting awareness activities, and providing basic special education support to beneficiaries.
Key Responsibilities
Special Education Responsibilities
- Assess basic learning needs and functional abilities of children with disabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized education or support plans based on children’s needs.
- Conduct educational and developmental activities to improve learning abilities.
- Support development of communication, social, and daily living skills among children.
- Guide parents and caregivers on home-based training and support methods.
- Monitor and document progress of children regularly.
Program & Community Responsibilities
- Mobilize children with disabilities from surrounding communities and villages.
- Conduct disability awareness sessions and workshops for parents, families, and community members.
- Support development and strengthening of the center and its programs.
- Coordinate with local schools, Anganwadi centers, and community stakeholders to identify children in need of support.
- Maintain beneficiary records and program documentation.
- Assist in organizing training sessions, workshops, and community activities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: D.Ed in Special Education, Bed in Special Education
- Experience: Fresher to 2 years of experience can apply.
- Willingness to conduct field visits and community mobilization.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptable and proactive approach toward work.
