We are seeking a skilled Sourcing Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating terms, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications. Responsibilities
- Excel and presentation skills to effectively communicate sourcing strategies.
- Read and understand customer specifications to ensure compliance and quality standards.
- Interpret engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) specifications to aid in sourcing decisions.
- Manage RFQ flow down with existing approved vendors for special processes and heat treatment requirements.
- Negotiate with suppliers on price, lead time, Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), and payment terms to achieve optimal sourcing agreements.
- Identify current sources and execute the selection process to expand the supplier base.
- Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of suppliers to finalize partnerships that meet project requirements.
- Ensure knowledge of special processes and heat treatment specifications is applied in sourcing decisions.
- Engage in technical clarification discussions with stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with project goals.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in sourcing or procurement, particularly in special processes and heat treatment.
- Strong knowledge of special process and heat treatment specifications.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate discussions with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Proven negotiation skills to achieve favorable terms with suppliers.
- Proficiency in Excel and presentation tools to create reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GDT specifications effectively.
- Experience in managing supplier relationships and conducting evaluations.
