Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Software Test Engineer role based in Oddanchattram.

The Software Test

Engineer will design, develop, and execute test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.

Responsibilities include preparing test plans, conducting manual and automated tests, documenting defects, and working closely with software developers to ensure timely resolution. The role involves maintaining test documentation, contributing to continuous improvement of testing processes, and ensuring that releases meet quality standards before deployment.



The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align testing activities with project timelines and business requirements.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Software Testing skills, including hands-on experience with Testing methodologies and quality assurance practices.

Candidates should possess practical Test Execution skills and experience creating and maintaining detailed Test Cases.

Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Software Development concepts to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and understand technical requirements.

Candidates should possess familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools, and basic knowledge of automation frameworks is an advantage.

Relevant bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently and as part of a team on-site.

Effective written and verbal communication skills for documenting test results and interacting with stakeholders.

Experience in testing web, mobile, or cloud-based applications, and exposure to modern development practices (e.g., Agile or DevOps) is beneficial.
