Job Summary

Experienced Software Test Engineer with expertise in Functional Testing, Test Automation, System Validation, and End-to-End Quality Assurance of enterprise and industrial software applications. Strong experience in designing test strategies, executing complex testing cycles, automating regression suites, and collaborating with cross-functional global teams within Agile environments. Proven ability to ensure software quality through comprehensive manual and automated testing while driving continuous process improvements and defect prevention initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Strategy

- Define and execute comprehensive test strategies aligned with business and product requirements.
- Analyze functional specifications, user stories, and technical requirements to identify test scope and coverage.
- Prepare test estimations, test plans, test scenarios, and execution timelines.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide quality-focused feedback during early stages of SDLC.

Functional & System Testing

- Perform Functional, System, Integration, GUI, End-to-End, Smoke, Sanity, Regression, and Release Testing.
- Validate application workflows to ensure compliance with business and technical requirements.
- Execute test cases across multiple environments, releases, and configurations.
- Conduct exploratory testing to identify hidden defects and usability issues.

Test Automation

- Develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks using:
- Selenium WebDriver
- Ruby
- Cucumber (BDD)
- Gherkin
- Create reusable automation scripts for regression and functional testing.
- Optimize automated test execution to improve release quality and testing efficiency.
- Integrate automated testing practices within CI/CD pipelines.

Defect Management & Quality Assurance

- Identify, document, prioritize,



and track defects using JIRA.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and collaborate with development teams for timely resolution.
- Monitor defect lifecycle from discovery through closure.
- Validate bug fixes and ensure successful implementation before production releases.

Non-Functional Testing

- Execute and validate performance, reliability, and application security testing.
- Perform End Point Protection (EPP) and SIESTA-related validation activities.
- Assess system stability, scalability, and performance against defined benchmarks.

Agile & Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work within Agile/Scrum and SAFe Agile frameworks.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA teams across onshore and offshore locations.
- Drive continuous quality improvements through proactive risk identification and mitigation.

Reporting & Metrics

- Prepare daily, weekly, and release-level test status reports.
- Track test execution progress, defect metrics, and quality KPIs.
- Present test findings and quality assessments to stakeholders and project leadership.
