Key Responsibilities:

Functional & System Testing

- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for:
- Customer-facing web portals

- Analytics and monitoring dashboards

- Backend services and APIs
- Device-to-cloud communications
- Perform end-to-end testing across the complete service chain from network devices through to the user interface.
- Validate new product features, bug fixes, and software releases.
- Execute smoke, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.

Test Automation

- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Python.
- Create automated UI tests for web applications.
- Develop API automation for RESTful services.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyse test results and improve automation coverage.

Network & Device Validation

- Verify connectivity between devices, backend services, and front-end applications.
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis of service issues.
- Validate device provisioning, telemetry, and data flows.
- Test wireless networking features and customer connectivity scenarios.
- Support testing of network equipment, routers, gateways, access points, and edge devices.

Quality Engineering

- Participate in Agile ceremonies including planning, refinement, and retrospectives.
- Review requirements and acceptance criteria for testability.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps engineers to ensure quality is built into solutions.
- Produce test reports and release quality assessments.
- Drive continuous improvement of QA processes and automation practices.

Essential Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

- Strong commercial experience in Software QA or Test Engineering.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Experience developing automated test frameworks.




- Experience testing web applications and portals.
- Experience with REST API testing and API automation.
- Knowledge of Linux systems and command-line tools.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including:

- TCP/IP

- DNS

- DHCP

- HTTP/HTTPS
- Wi-Fi/WLAN concepts
- Experience analysing log files and troubleshooting complex system issues.
- Familiarity with source control systems such as Git.

Test Automation ExperienceExperience with one or more of:

- Playwright
- Selenium
- PyTest
- Behave / BDD frameworks
- Robot Framework

Web TechnologiesUnderstanding of:

- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript fundamentals
- Browser developer tools
- Web performance monitoring and troubleshooting

Desirable Skills:

- Experience in network, telecoms, connectivity, or IoT environments.
- Experience testing captive portals or customer-facing connectivity services.
- Knowledge of cloud-hosted applications and microservices.
- Experience with Docker or containerised services.
- Exposure to Grafana, monitoring tools, or analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
- Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
- Experience with SSH-based device management and testing.
- Experience in regulated industries such as transport, rail, or safety-critical systems.
