If you are NOT passionate about software, this role will not be a great fit. You must be very technical.

The Role

You will lead a team of engineers while remaining deeply hands-on -- working directly with founders and engineers to design systems, review code, make technical decisions, and ensure high-quality execution. You must be comfortable working closely with highly technical engineering teams.

What You'll Do

- Lead and manage a team of software engineers building production AI systems
- Stay hands-on by reviewing code, debugging issues,



and contributing to development
- Drive architecture decisions and engineering best practices
- Own sprint planning, engineering execution, and delivery timelines
- Work directly with clients to understand, document, and translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Collaborate closely with founders, product, and AI teams throughout development
- Mentor engineers and maintain a high-performance engineering culture
- Ensure production reliability, scalability, and code quality
- Coordinate technical execution across multiple AI initiatives

What We're Looking For

- Proven experience as a Software Engineering Manager or Senior Software Engineer
- Extremely high ownership attitude, and you must be very technical
- Passion for software/AI
- Experience leading or mentoring software engineering teams
- Solid software architecture and system design skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving
- High ownership with exceptional attention to detail
- Comfortable working in fast-paced startup environments with ambiguity
