About the Role:

We're looking for a skilled PHP Developer with 3–4 years of professional experience to join our engineering team in Bangalore. You'll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing server-side logic and database interactions for our web applications, working closely with front-end developers, DevOps, and product managers to deliver reliable, scalable software.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, test, and maintain robust web applications using PHP

- Design, build, and manage relational database schemas (MySQL/MariaDB or similar)

- Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and reusable code following OOP principles

- Build and integrate RESTful APIs for internal and third-party consumption

- Optimize application performance, including query optimization and caching strategies

- Ensure application security by implementing best practices (input validation, authentication, data encryption, protection against SQL injection/XSS/CSRF)

- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues in a timely manner

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards and engineering practices

- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic

- Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code reliability

- Work with DevOps/infrastructure teams on deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and version control workflows

- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and other agile ceremonies

- Document technical specifications, APIs, and system architecture as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications:





- 3–4 years of hands-on experience with PHP development in a production environment

- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns

- Experience with at least one modern PHP framework (Laravel, CodeIgniter, Symfony, or similar)

- Solid knowledge of MySQL or other relational databases, including writing optimized queries, joins, and indexing

- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs

- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and collaborative workflows (branching, pull requests)

- Basic to intermediate knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end integration

- Understanding of MVC architecture

- Familiarity with Composer for dependency management

- Knowledge of web server configuration (Apache/Nginx) basics

- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to debug complex issues

- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team

Good to Have:

- Hands-on experience with Laravel specifically (Eloquent ORM, Artisan, Blade templating)

- Familiarity with caching mechanisms (Redis, Memcached)

- Exposure to containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration basics

- Understanding of microservices architecture

- Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar)

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

- Knowledge of testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Pest)

- Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)

- Basic understanding of front-end frameworks (Vue.js, React) for full-stack collaboration

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
