Role Summary

Medanta is looking for a passionate and skilled Software Engineer (Frontend) to design, develop, and maintain intuitive, responsive, and high-performing web applications that enhance the digital experience for patients, clinicians, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in up-to-date frontend technologies, UI development, API integration, and performance optimization while collaborating with cross-functional teams to build scalable healthcare applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, test, and maintain responsive web applications using modern frontend frameworks.
- Build reusable UI components and ensure consistency across digital platforms.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, Backend Engineers, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Optimize applications for speed, scalability, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Ensure responsive design across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement timely fixes.




- Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies and recommend improvements where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and healthcare application standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in frontend application development.
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with React.js, Angular, or Vue.js (React preferred).
- Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Context API, or similar.
- Strong understanding of responsive web design principles and CSS frameworks like Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, or Material UI.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and handling asynchronous programming.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Understanding of frontend build tools such as Webpack, Vite, or similar.
- Knowledge of browser performance optimization and debugging tools.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Preferred Skills

- Experience developing healthcare or hospital management applications.
- Knowledge of authentication protocols such as OAuth, JWT, or SSO.
- Familiarity with accessibility (WCAG) standards.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines
