Role Impact:
The Associate ServiceNow Developer will be part of the Engineering team responsible for the development and support of ServiceNow products, including ITSM, ITAM, and ITOM. This involves working on key modules such as Service Catalog, Service Portal, CMDB, Discovery, Event Management, and System Integrations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Development & Implementation: Assist in the development and implementation of applications using ServiceNow platform capabilities.
- Integrations & Workflows: Develop integrations and workflows using ServiceNow Flow Designer, legacy Workflow, Integration HUB, and REST.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers, product managers, and Business System Analysts to understand detailed requirements and design, develop, test, automate, and deliver high-quality products.
- Code Development: Develop reusable code, review and improve test cases, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure test results meet expectations.
- Support Releases & Upgrades: Assist in the execution of releases, product upgrades, and modern technology deployments.
- ServiceNow Support: Provide 2nd level ServiceNow support, resolve incidents, manage processes, and coordinate projects.
- Peer Reviews: Conduct peer reviews on high-level designs, code, test plans, and results.
- Effective Communication:
Ensure clear communication with both internal and external team members to describe technical solutions.
Qualifications:
Experience & Education:
- 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in ServiceNow development.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge in IT Service Management (ITSM) and CMDB (Configuration Management Database).
Technical Skills:
- JavaScript, HTML, AngularJS, and REST APIs (minimum of 2 years' experience).
- Familiarity with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Agile methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform, scripting, APIs, Service Portal, and applications.
Certifications:
- ServiceNow System Administrator (CSA).
- ServiceNow Application Development (CAD).
- ITIL Certification.
- ServiceNow Implementation Specialist (CIS), ideally in ITSM, Discovery.

- Unix/Linux and Shell Scripting: Familiarity with these technologies is a plus.
- Agile Methodologies: Practical experience with Agile methodologies/tools.
Additional Skills/Experience:
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and ensure those solutions are robust, scalable, and deliverable within deadlines.
- Ability to work in an onshore/offshore team environment, communicating effectively with remote and local teams.
