Job Title: Software Development Engineer III (SDE-3)

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled SDE-3 who is passionate about solving complex problems using effective algorithms and clean design. As a core member of our engineering team, you will be expected to bring deep expertise in data structures, algorithms, and Java, and play a key role in building scalable, maintainable, and high-performance systems.

Responsibilities

- Design and develop highly performant backend systems and services in Java
- Write clean, modular, and well-tested code following best software engineering practices
- Solve challenging algorithmic and data-structure problems in real-world systems
- Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to translate high-level designs into concrete implementations
- Drive design discussions, code reviews, and mentor junior developers
- Own modules end-to-end: from design to deployment and operational monitoring

Requirements




- 5–8 years of experience in backend development with deep proficiency in Java
- Strong command over data structures, algorithms, system design, and problem-solving
- Experience building large-scale, distributed, and multi-threaded systems
- Solid understanding of JVM internals, memory management, concurrency, and performance tuning
- Familiarity with tools like Git, Maven, and CI/CD pipelines

Good to Have
- Experience with Kafka, NoSQL, Python, Machine Learning, MILP
- Competitive programming background or participation in algorithmic contests (e.g., Codeforces, Leetcode, etc.)
