Kosh is an RBI-registered NBFC building credit products for India's blue-collar workforce — the 300M workers who power the economy but remain locked out of formal finance. Role Description -

This is a full time, on-site role based in Gurugram for a Software Developer.

The Software

Developer will design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions while adhering to best practices in software development.

Responsibilities include building and optimizing back-end systems, writing clean, efficient, and scalable code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions. The candidate will also contribute to the overall product architecture and mentor junior developers.

Key Responsibilities -

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for Kosh's lending and communication platform
- Build and optimize APIs and services to handle high-volume transactions and real-time data processing
- Write clean,



efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices
- Own end-to-end development cycles—from requirement understanding to deployment and monitoring
- Collaborate with product, operations, and business teams to deliver impactful solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and a seamless user experience
- Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and security
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and integrate them where relevant
- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence.

- Backend: Python, Django REST Framework
- Infrastructure & Tools: Traefik Load Balancer, Celery (asynchronous processing)
- Messaging & Real-time: MQTT Broker
- Database: PostgreSQL (AWS RDS)

What are we looking for

- Strong experience in backend development using Python and Django
- Solid understanding of building scalable, distributed systems
- Experience with asynchronous processing tools like Celery
- Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, databases, and system design
- Familiarity with cloud environments (preferably AWS)
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
