Role Description The Social Worker at HAIR RAP BY YOYO is a full-time, in office role based in Ahmedabad, focused on supporting the well-being of clients and team members in a salon environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing clients’ social and emotional needs, providing guidance and referrals to appropriate community resources, and fostering a supportive, inclusive atmosphere within the salon.

The role involves collaborating with management and staff to design wellness initiatives, educational sessions, and outreach programs that promote mental health, self-esteem, and empowerment.

The Social

Worker will also document case notes, maintain confidentiality,



and build relationships with local organizations to expand the support network available to clients and employees.

Qualifications

- Professional background in social work, counseling, or psychology, with the ability to assess needs and provide appropriate support and referrals.
- Strong communication and active listening skills, including the ability to build trust and rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience in community outreach, resource coordination, or program development related to wellness, mental health, or social support.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive information, and work with empathy and cultural sensitivity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field; relevant licensure or certification is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively with salon management and staff, adapt to a rapid-paced service environment, and manage multiple cases or initiatives.
- Familiarity with local social services, NGOs, and mental health resources in and around Ahmedabad is highly beneficial.
