Job Title: SMT Engineer

Experience: 2 to 3 Years

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled SMT Engineer with 2 to 3 years of experience in SMT production and machine programming. The candidate will be responsible for SMT machine setup, program creation, production monitoring, quality control, and managing shift activities to achieve production targets.

Key Responsibilities

Create and modify SMT machine programs for recent and existing products.

Operate and troubleshoot SMT machines such as Pick & Place, Screen Printer, and Reflow Oven.

Perform machine setup, changeovers, and first-off approvals.

Ensure smooth production flow and achieve daily production targets.

Monitor machine performance and minimize downtime.

Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams.

Ensure product quality as per process standards and customer requirements.

Handle line balancing and manpower allocation during shifts.

Maintain production reports and machine utilization records.

Implement and follow 5S,



ESD, and safety guidelines.

Train operators on machine handling and production processes.

Required Skills

Hands-on experience in SMT machine programming and operation.

Knowledge of Pick & Place machines (Fuji, Yamaha, Panasonic, Juki, ASM, etc.).

Understanding of PCB assembly process and electronics manufacturing.

Familiarity with SPI, AOI, and Reflow process parameters.

Ability to analyze defects and implement corrective actions.

Good leadership and shift management skills.

Basic knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.

Qualification

Diploma / BE / B. Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.

Preferred Requirements

Experience in EMS/Electronics Manufacturing industry.

Knowledge of IPC standards and SMT process optimisation.

Ability to work in rotational shifts.
