Job Summary: Performs skilled activities which support manufacturing business needs. Selects and uses appropriate tools, machinery and specialty equipment completing work with limited guidance. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities: HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL (HSE) Comply with all Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Immediately stop work and report unsafe conditions, incidents, injuries, hazards, and near misses.

Follow Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, and safe work practices.

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and participate in required safety training.

Conduct work in a manner that minimizes environmental impact and supports sustainability initiatives.

Promote a proactive safety culture by identifying and addressing hazards within scope of responsibility. MAINTENANCE & RELIABILITY Perform preventive, predictive, corrective, emergency, and breakdown maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, industrial controls, and automation systems.

Analyze equipment failures and support downtime reduction initiatives.

Document maintenance activities and provide feedback to preventive maintenance systems.

Maintain production, assembly, and test equipment according to established standards and procedures. AUTOMATION, CONTROLS & ROBOTICS Troubleshoot and maintain PLC-based automation systems, industrial controls, drives, and motion control equipment.

Support programming modifications, upgrades, and commissioning activities for automation systems.

Maintain and troubleshoot robotics systems, machine vision applications, and integrated manufacturing technologies.





Support industrial network communications and manufacturing system integration activities.

Interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, operation manuals, and technical specifications. QUALITY & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT Perform work according to quality standards, process documentation, and technical specifications.

Conduct inspections and identify opportunities to reduce quality risks and manufacturing costs.

Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.

Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Identify manufacturing constraints and support process optimization efforts. ASSET CARE & OPERATIONAL SUPPORT Perform routine inspections, testing, calibration checks, and equipment verification activities.

Maintain tools, fixtures, automation equipment, and testing systems.

Support spare parts planning and inventory management activities.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through effective housekeeping practices.

Perform additional duties as required to support business and operational objectives. COLLABORATION & DEVELOPMENT Collaborate with Production, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, IT, Maintenance, and support teams.

Coordinate with vendors and contractors to support equipment maintenance and improvement projects.

Communicate technical issues, recommendations, and project updates effectively.

Support knowledge sharing and mentoring of less experienced technicians when required.
