Job Summary:

Turnkey 5.0 is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Site Engineer to join our dynamic team for turnkey projects based in Tiruchirapalli. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated skilled with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in site supervision and construction management to contribute to the successful delivery of significant engineering projects. As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all on-site activities are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of construction operations, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring smooth progress on site.

Responsibilities:

- In office Supervision and Coordination:
- Directly oversee and manage all construction activities on the assigned project site, ensuring adherence to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.
- Coordinate the work of various contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel, ensuring clear communication and efficient collaboration.
- Provide clear instructions and guidance to the workforce to ensure tasks are performed correctly and efficiently.
- Monitor the deployment and utilization of plants, machinery, and equipment on site, ensuring they are in safe working condition and used effectively.

- Progress Monitoring and Reporting:

- Regularly monitor and track the progress of work against the project schedule, identifying any potential delays or deviations.
- Prepare accurate and timely daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports,



highlighting key achievements, challenges, and planned activities.
- Maintain detailed site records, including work executed, material deliveries, manpower deployment, and any site-related instructions or variations.

- Technical Support and Issue Resolution:

- Serve as a primary point of contact on site for technical queries and clarifications related to drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately and provide necessary guidance to the construction teams.
- Identify and analyze technical issues or discrepancies that arise on site and propose practical and effective solutions promptly.
- Liaise with the design team, project managers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and ensure project continuity.

- Material Management and Quality Control:

- Monitor the receipt, inspection, storage, and utilization of all construction materials delivered to the site, ensuring they meet the specified quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of material inventory and consumption, highlighting any potential shortages or wastage.
- Implement and enforce the project's quality control procedures, conducting regular inspections of work in progress and completed tasks to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Identify and report any non-conformances and ensure that corrective actions are implemented effectively.

- Safety Compliance and Environmental Awareness:

- Uphold and promote a strong safety culture on site, ensuring strict adherence to all safety regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Conduct regular safety briefings, toolbox talks,



and site safety inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Ensure that all personnel on site are wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices.
- Promote environmental awareness and ensure compliance with environmental management plans and regulations on site.

- Communication and Coordination:

- Maintain effective communication and coordination with the Project Manager, other engineers, contractors, and all relevant stakeholders.
- Attend and participate in site meetings, providing updates on progress, challenges, and planned activities.
- Prepare and disseminate relevant site-related information and documentation as required.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of practical site experience in the construction industry, preferably within turnkey projects.
- Sound understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and schedules accurately.
- Strong supervisory and coordination skills with the ability to manage effectively and motivate site teams.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to address technical challenges on site.
- Effective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Basic proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with project management software would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and quality control procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to be based full-time at the project site in Tiruchirapalli.
