A Site Engineer translates building and infrastructure designs into physical structures. They oversee day-to-day operations on-site, manage materials, enforce health and safety regulations, and ensure all work meets structural and quality standards while keeping the project on schedule and within budget. Key Responsibilities

- Site Supervision: Manage day-to-day operations and supervise subcontractors to ensure strict adherence to blueprints and technical designs. [1, 2]

- Quality Assurance (QA/QC): Conduct structural and material testing, inspect workmanship, and confirm all supplies meet project specifications. [1, 2]

- Technical Support: Review design drawings for accuracy, resolve technical difficulties or unforeseen challenges on-site, and set out the site boundaries and levels. [1, 2]

- Progress & Cost Tracking: Maintain daily site logs, compile progress reports for stakeholders, verify contractor bills, and assist with budget estimates. [1, 2, 3]

- Safety Compliance:



Enforce Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S;) policies, maintain a clean and hazard-free environment, and ensure the crew wears required PPE. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Core Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent Diploma with relevant field experience). [1, 2]

- Technical Skills: Proficiency with engineering software like AutoCAD, Primavera, or MS Project. Strong ability to read complex structural, architectural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings. [1, 2, 3, 4]
