Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Silicon Firmware & Embedded Engineer with solid expertise in Embedded C to develop firmware that interfaces directly with silicon and embedded hardware. The ideal candidate should have experience in embedded systems, firmware development, hardware-software integration, debugging, and RTOS-based applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional hardware and software teams to design, develop, test, and validate embedded firmware solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain firmware using Embedded C.
- Develop pre-silicon and post-silicon firmware for embedded platforms.
- Implement and maintain C-based APIs and test applications.
- Integrate firmware with hardware components and support board bring-up activities.
- Debug firmware issues using JTAG, GDB, Lauterbach, or similar debugging tools.
- Work with communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB, etc.
- Develop applications on RTOS platforms like FreeRTOS, VxWorks, Zephyr, or ThreadX.
- Participate in software design reviews, code reviews, and architecture discussions.




- Validate firmware functionality through testing and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with hardware, validation, and system engineering teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements.

Required Skills

- 5+ years of experience in Embedded C development.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems and microcontroller architecture.
- Experience with firmware development and hardware-software integration.
- Hands-on experience with RTOS.
- Knowledge of embedded debugging tools.
- Experience with communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, or USB.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle, version control (Git), and build systems.

Preferred Skills

- Embedded Linux development.
- ARM Cortex or other microcontroller platforms.
- Device driver or bootloader development.
- Python or Shell scripting for automation.
- Knowledge of firmware validation and silicon bring-up.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Embedded C/Firmware development.
- 15 years of full-time education.
