Job Summary

We're looking for a self-directed Shopify & WordPress Developer who can take a Figma design and a bug report and run with them minimal oversight, clear written updates, real solutions shipped. This role is core technical execution: building, customizing, and maintaining eCommerce and business websites. You'll work alongside (not perform the job of) our SEO and marketing teams.

Core Requirements

Development

- Convert Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive Shopify themes (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JS)
- Solid grasp of Shopify OS 2.0 architecture — JSON templates, sections, metafields/metaobjects
- Experience with Shopify Storefront and/or Admin API
- Convert Figma designs into custom WordPress sites (Elementor, Gutenberg, or custom theme dev)
- Build reusable sections, templates, and custom functionality from business requirements
- Integrate third-party apps, payment gateways, shipping solutions, and general APIs
- Git version control and standard dev workflow discipline





Performance & Technical SEO (implementation-level)

- Schema markup, meta tags, sitemap generation
- Core Web Vitals optimization: image optimization, caching, code minification, lazy loading, CDN integration
- Can implement tracking specs handed off by the marketing/analytics team (GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel, conversion events) — not expected to design tracking strategy

Autonomy & Communication

- Proven track record shipping production sites with minimal supervision
- Proactively communicates status, blockers, and decisions in writing without being asked
- Comfortable debugging and resolving production issues independently before escalating
- Basic cPanel comfort (DNS, SSL, email config, backups) operational, not a core skill
- Broader on-page SEO awareness (this is not a content/keyword strategy role)
- Agile workplace experience
- CS/IT degree or equivalent practical experience
