Objective To work and be an integral member of the commercial team and ensure proper handling of all enquiries for various ship repair related work.

Key responsibilities · Prepare labour and material costing of ship repair quotes, tenders, enquiries. · Review, inspect and develop detailed scope of work and quotes for each project being enquired by the client. · Co-ordinate with the sales team to meet customer expectations and visit customers, sites and vessels as required. · Accounts administration - estimate price/cost of additional work and present. · Ensure additional jobs and variation orders raised by the operations/LOBs are signed by the customer prior to undertaking the job.



Ensure all concerned personnel are aware of the alteration in the scope of work. · Assist Operations with planning and assist Commercial with bill preparation. · Monitor jobs in progress against estimated time, budgeted cost and plan. · Coordinate with other departments for issues relating to all kinds of resource plans for cost estimation of jobs. · Coordinate with external vendors or subcontractors, to get quotes for materials or resources for completing the estimation jobs. · Update the AGM – Commercial and Commercial Manager on the activities and progress of the projects and related activities should there be any deviation from the budgeted plan.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

· Diploma in relative field or · Significant experience in relavant field– in ship repair · Sound knowledge of labour costs, job times and materials. · Conversant with commercial, rigs, Navy and Coastguard ship repairs. · Knowledge of the ship operating systems and purpose and ability to read and interpret drawings from the enquiries and prepare BOM's accordingly. · Knowledge of repair standards, class requirements and other regulations associated with ship repair estimation is essential. · Experience of MS Office skills such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project · Ability to develop detailed scope of work, bar charts, plans for each project.
