Chemosynth Industries is seeking a technically strong and hands-on Production Manager to oversee daily operations at our chemical manufacturing plant.
The ideal candidate must understand both laboratory chemistry and plant production. However, this is not a laboratory or desk-based position. The selected candidate will be required to remain physically present inside the plant throughout working hours and actively supervise production activities.
The selected candidate will receive continuous technical and operational guidance from the existing team. The current Head of Production will remain available at all times over the telephone to provide directions, clarify existing processes and assist with technical or production-related issues. The candidate must therefore be willing to listen, learn and accurately implement the guidance provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day chemical plant operations and production activities.
- Supervise batch manufacturing, reactor operations and production processes.
- Use laboratory and chemistry knowledge to understand test results and identify production deviations.
- Coordinate with the laboratory team to translate laboratory findings into corrective action within the plant.
- Troubleshoot batch-related and process-related problems.
- Ensure that finished products meet the required specifications and quality standards.
- Supervise plant operators and workers and maintain discipline on the production floor.
- Monitor raw-material usage, production output, equipment condition and process efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures and operating standards.
- Maintain accurate batch records and production documentation.
- Quickly learn the company’s existing formulations, manufacturing processes and working methods.
- Work closely with the existing team and regularly consult the current Head of Production for directions and technical support.
- Carefully document and correctly implement all instructions provided.
- Identify problems early and seek guidance whenever required.
Mandatory Qualifications and Experience
- B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering OR MSc in Chemistry
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working inside a chemical manufacturing plant
- Strong understanding of chemistry, batch manufacturing, reactor operations and chemical production processes
- Ability to understand laboratory results and apply that knowledge to plant production
- Willingness to work full-time from inside the plant and remain actively involved on the production floor
- Fast learner who is keen to understand the company’s existing formulations and processes
- Receptive to continuous guidance from the existing team and the current Head of Production
- Ability to listen carefully, follow directions and implement technical instructions accurately
- Robust observation, troubleshooting, communication and team-management skills
Experience in dyes, dyestuffs, specialty chemicals or organic chemical manufacturing will be preferred. Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
