JD FOR SERVICE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Service Business Development Low/Medium/High Voltage Transformers up to 800 kV

Job responsibilities:

- Drive business development for transformer service portfolio including overhauling repairs, RLA residual life assessment, spares supply, uprating and retrofit solutions across assigned accounts/territories
- Engage directly with the customers/dealers to identify service opportunities, generate enquiries and build an active enquiry pipeline
- Lead first level discussions to understand end client requirements, site conditions and scope clarity before proposal stage
- Convert enquiries into orders through structured followups, technical positioning and commercial alignment
- Coordinate with internal teams (Service, Marketing, Commercial) for timely and accurate techno-commercial offer preparation
- Own end to end enquiry lifecycle management using Zoho CRM, including:
- Enquiry logging and qualification
- Offer submission tracking
- Status updates and ageing control
- Maintain real time pipeline visibility through Zoho dashboards, ensuring accuracy of:
- Opportunity value
- Conversion status
- Generate and review weekly/monthly dashboards and forecasts for pipeline health, conversion ratios and revenue outlook
- Build and expand customer relationships to increase repeat business and service penetration across installed base

Experience:

- 57 years of relevant industry experience in service, maintenance,



or business development of MV/HV transformer or electrical equipment
- Proven exposure to client facing roles involving enquiry generation, technical discussions, and order conversion
- Handson familiarity with transformer service domains such as repairs, diagnostics (DGA, RLA), spares, or retrofit activities
- Demonstrated ability to handle techno-commercial proposals and follow-ups leading to business closure

Qualifications:

- BE / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering with strong exposure to transformer or rotating/static electrical equipment
- Solid understanding of power transformer fundamentals, failure modes and service requirements

Mandatory skills:

- Ability to engage customers independently and handle technical commercial discussions
- Working knowledge of Zoho CRM or equivalent for enquiry tracking and pipeline management
- Solid commercial awareness with basic costing and margin understanding
- Clear communication and structured thinking under ambiguity
