Key details about the role:

- Role: Service Decommission Consultant (Operations)
- Job Purpose: To provide insight and consultation on the decommissioning of IT services, ensuring all services are retired with minimal disruption to business. This is a governance and process advisory role, guiding project managers through the decommissioning lifecycle.
- Location: Pune & Bangalore (Local candidates only)
- Experience: B2 level (5 to 10 Years of experience)
- Notice Period: 15 Days (or currently serving notice is preferred)

Key Requirements:

1. ITIL Certification: Must have.
2. Infrastructure Experience: Experience with SMBC (or similar large-scale infrastructure) is highly desirable for this operational role.
3. Process & Policy: Experience with service decommissioning processes, internal policies, or a strong understanding of the IT service lifecycle.
4. Transition Experience: Knowledge of Cloud migration/transfer processes is a plus.

Role & responsibilities Guide projects through the entire Service Decommissioning lifecycle, ensuring all activities, criteria, and supporting documentation meet internal policies and regulatory standards for compliant and timely service exits.

- Provide expert advice and dedicated support to projects undergoing IT service decommissioning, clarifying information requirements,



identifying key stakeholders, and assisting with process steps and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and, where applicable, external stakeholders to track decommissioning activities, ensuring that all necessary information and evidence are gathered for successful and complete service decommissioning.
- Actively contribute to the definition, documentation, and continuous improvement of the Service Decommissioning process. This includes developing process workflows, diagrams, detailed steps, and RACI matrices as the process matures.
- Generate and maintain comprehensive reports and tracking mechanisms for decommissioning activities, providing explicit visibility into progress, adherence, and overall performance across.
- Proactively identify potential risks within decommissioning programs and projects, reporting them through established channels to relevant stakeholders, and recommending actions to minimize potential failures.
- Serve as a supportive and integral member of the wider Service Design & Introduction team, acting as a primary point of contact for service design and decommissioning queries, and contributing to the overall team workload and efficiency.
