MTechZilla is a web, mobile app, AI app, and cloud app development agency based in India, serving as an offshore engineering partner for US and EU companies. We work with US and EU engineering teams through three flexible engagement models - staff augmentation, team augmentation and software development outsourcing. Our clients are CTOs, VPs of Engineering and Directors of Engineering at 50 to 500 employee tech companies.

The Role

We're looking for a hands-on SEO Executive who will own our organic search and AI search strategy day-to-day. Your job is to grow qualified organic traffic and brand visibility on Google and AI answer engines from CTOs and engineering leaders in the US searching for offshore development, staff augmentation, and engineering team scaling solutions.

This isn't a "run an audit and hand off a spreadsheet" role. You'll plan, execute, and be accountable for movement in rankings, traffic, AI citations, and organic pipeline contribution.

Key Responsibilities

Keyword Research and Prioritization

- Do keyword research across top-of-the-funnel, middle-of-the-funnel, and bottom-of-funnel queries relevant to CTOs and engineering leaders

- Map keywords to funnel stage, intent, content and buyer role, not just search volume.

- Build and maintain a prioritization framework (volume, difficulty, intent, business value, existing page equity) to decide what gets built or optimized first, rather than working off arbitrary requests

- Continuously mine competitor gaps, AI answer engines, and People Also Ask/related-search data, trends for emerging keyword opportunities

Content SEO
- Translate the keyword research to content roadmap and calendar that moves prospects from top-of-funnel awareness queries down to hire-intent, ready-to-talk queries.

- Write detailed content briefs with target keyword and intent, questions to answer, competitor gaps to close, internal links to include, and a recommended structure - so writers/subject-matter experts produce content that ranks.





- Build and maintain pillar pages and topic clusters around our core service lines (staff augmentation, team augmentation, outsourced development) that interlink to spread authority and make our expertise legible to both Google and AI answer engines

- Track content to refresh and re-optimize as a regular cadence.

- Ensure that content drives the intended engagement and partner with content, design and development team to work towards CRO and better dwell time.

- Coordinate with the larger marketing team to avoid keyword cannibalization and ensure consistent messaging across the website.

- Communicate AI perception and narratives to larger marketing team to strategise and position MTechZilla better in comparison to our competitors.

Link Building and Off-Page
- Run competitor listicle partnerships - get MTechZilla featured in "Top X companies" articles on relevant publications.

- Pitch and place guest posts on high DA platforms

- Maintain profiles on Clutch, GoodFirms, DesignRush, and similar B2B directories

- Run organic backlink outreach to tech blogs, founder publications, and industry sites

- Monitor and clean up the backlink profile regularly (disavow toxic links, track lost/broken links)

Contribute to healthy website structure and lead Programmatic SEO efforts
- Design the site's programmatic structure

- Define the template architecture: what's fixed, what's variable per page, and what content block must be manually differentiated (team availability, case study, rate benchmark) so the template doesn't produce a templated noun-swap page.

- Architect the internal linking model connecting programmatic pages to pillar pages, service pages, and each other, hub-and-spoke or hierarchical, whichever best distributes authority and keeps crawl depth shallow





AI Search and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)
- Implement SEO and AEO tactics to grow brand visibility on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Claude, Perplexity, and other answer engines

- Structure content, schema, and citations so MTechZilla gets surfaced in AI responses for hire-intent queries

Technical SEO
- Run regular audits via Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, or SEMrush and fix structure, meta, crawl, indexing, schema, and Core Web Vitals issues

- Coordinate with developers on site speed, mobile usability, redirects, and structured data implementation

Tracking and Reporting
- Track rankings, organic traffic, AI mentions, and conversions via GSC, GA4, and rank-tracking tools

- Deliver weekly and monthly reports showing ranking movement, traffic growth, and organic lead contribution

- Track and report on AI mention share against competitors

Requirements

What We Are Looking For

Must-Haves

- 1.5–2 years of SEO experience in B2B IT services, software development, or staffing.

- Experience driving SEO for US markets, with a strong understanding of search intent, competition, and buyer behaviour.

- Hands-on expertise in technical SEO, content strategy, and link building through outreach, guest posting, and directory placements.

- Proficient with Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs/SEMrush, and Screaming Frog, using data to optimise organic performance.
