About the role

HawkGains produces content that teaches retail traders to think like institutions — short-form reels in a contrarian Hinglish voice, plus long-form YouTube built around trading psychology and trust. We're scaling both a personal-name channel, and we need a Senior Video Editor who can own the edit end-to-end: take raw footage and a brief, and return scroll-stopping, on-brand video without hand-holding.

This is not a "cut the clip and add captions" role. You'll shape pacing, retention, and visual language across our whole library, and set the editing standard a junior editor can follow later.

What you'll do

- Edit short-form reels (Instagram, YouTube Shorts, X) with strong hooks in the first 2 seconds, tight pacing, and clean Hinglish captions.
- Edit long-form YouTube (8–20 min) — psychology-driven, trust-building videos structured beginner→advanced, with retention-focused pacing and chaptering.
- Build data & chart graphics: clean overlays for option chains, OI, P&L;, price action, and zone/volume visuals that make complex market concepts easy to follow.
- Design and maintain a reusable template system (intros, lower-thirds, CTA cards, brand motion) in navy/gold with the hawk chevron identity.




- Manage the edit pipeline against an 8-week posting calendar and content bank — hit deadlines consistently and keep an organized project/asset structure.
- Handle file transfer and versioning cleanly (raw in, exports out, feedback rounds) so nothing gets lost between shoot and publish.
- Keep every edit SEBI-compliant: no real-time buy/sell calls, correct disclaimers on screen, educational framing preserved. (We'll brief you fully; you flag anything risky.)

Must-have
- 4+ years editing, with a portfolio showing both short-form and long-form work (finance / education / creator content strongly preferred).
- Expert in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, plus quick short-form tools (CapCut or similar).
- Strong motion graphics / After Effects for data overlays and branded animation.
- A real sense of retention and pacing — you can explain why a cut works, not just make it.
- Comfortable working in Hinglish content and matching a specific brand voice.
- Reliable, deadline-driven, and self-managing.

Nice to have
- Interest in or knowledge of Indian markets / options trading (you shouldn't need every concept explained).
- Experience editing talking-head + screen-recording / charting footage.
- Thumbnail design and basic sound design/mixing.
- Familiarity with a scheduling tool like Later and creator publishing workflows.
