We seek a qualified and motivated person to join our team as a Senior Tax Specialist. This position is unique because our company is technology-focused and will leverage technology to deliver best-in-class service for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare Federal and State 1065 Partnership returns for real estate syndications and funds
- Prepare K-1s and assist with investor inquiries
- Maintain depreciation, amortization and member basis schedules
- Identify necessary book-to-tax adjustments
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information for tax filings
- Conduct tax research and provide recommendations to clients on tax planning strategies
- Review financial statements and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Lead and manage a team of 2 to 5 accountants
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or a similar role
- Real Estate experience highly preferred
- CPA preferred
- Solid knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Proficient in using tax software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
