Job Summary

We re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our ever-evolving Engineering Platform - Merchant Experience team and help shape the future of secure, scalable, and high-performing global payment solutions through modern front-end experiences, robust Java backend services, and reliable data-driven systems.

Responsibilities

- We are looking for a hands-on, technically strong Senior Software Engineer with solid experience in React-based front-end development, Java backend engineering, API development, and database-driven application design for our global payment processing platforms.
- In this role, you will design, build, test, and support full-stack solutions across responsive user interfaces, scalable Java services, RESTful APIs, and relational database layers. You will collaborate with product, architecture, QA, and platform teams to deliver secure, reliable, maintainable, and high-performing applications.

Requirements
- Years of Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, including hands-on experience building enterprise web applications using React, Java backend technologies, APIs, and databases.
- Full-Stack Engineering: Strong ability to design and deliver end-to-end features across React front-end components, Java backend services, API integrations, and database interactions while maintaining quality, scalability, and performance.
- Java Backend Expertise: Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs,



microservices, object-oriented design, integration patterns, exception handling, logging, and secure service development.
- React Front-End Skills: Hands-on experience building reusable React components, managing application state, integrating front-end applications with backend APIs, and applying valuable knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive UI development.
- Database and Query Skills: Good knowledge of relational databases, SQL queries, schema understanding, joins, stored procedures, indexing concepts, query optimization, data troubleshooting, and working with application data models.
- Engineering Best Practices: Experience with code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, CI/CD pipelines, secure coding practices, performance tuning, debugging, observability, and production support for business-critical applications.
- Communication and Ownership: Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams, QA, product partners, and non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus if you have
- Payments or Fintech Domain: Experience working in payments, banking, fintech, or other high-volume transaction processing environments, with exposure to security, compliance, and operational resilience expectations.
- Modern Engineering Tools and Platforms: Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, event-driven architecture, cloud-native application delivery, or modern DevOps practices.
- Cloud and API Experience: Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure, along with API gateways, authentication, authorization, security policies, and integration with distributed systems.
- Technical Collaboration: Experience mentoring junior developers, contributing to design discussions, improving engineering standards, or helping teams adopt modern full-stack development practices.
