Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in Backend/API Automation Testing.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing and developing robust automation frameworks, validating REST APIs, testing microservices, and ensuring backend quality through automation.

You will work closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable and high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable API automation frameworks using Java and Rest Assured.
- Develop and execute automated test cases for functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end backend testing.
- Validate REST APIs, backend services, and microservices for functionality, reliability, and performance.
- Perform database validation using complex SQL queries, including joins and data verification.
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
- Test distributed systems involving Kafka and RabbitMQ messaging.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers,



and DevOps teams to ensure high software quality.
- Identify, document, track, and troubleshoot defects throughout the SDLC.
- Contribute to automation strategy, test coverage improvement, and quality best practices.

Mandatory Requirements :

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as an SDET specializing in Backend/API Automation Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Postman for API testing.
- Strong experience in API Automation using Rest Assured.
- Good understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA).
- Hands-on experience testing Microservices-based architectures.
- Robust knowledge of REST API Testing and backend validation.
- Excellent programming skills in Java.
